This summer was full of activity – here are some highlights!

Maggie’s First Red Sox Game
Pat, Grandma, Auntie Mare, and I took Maggie to her first Red Sox game on June 13 (bonus – don’t need a ticket until they’re 2!) Fenway has really stepped up the kid-friendly atmosphere by adding in the “Clubhouse” area where you can color, build legos, take photos with Wally, and more! And best part was – it’s all air conditioned. If you’re attempting to entertain a toddler for the length of a baseball game, this is the way to do it!

Birthdays
We celebrated Maggie’s 2nd birthday (See Two.), Aoife’s 1st birthday, and Phelan’s 3rd birthday – there was plenty of fun and cake to go around!
Connecticut with Stuycks
A friend of mine from my time in London, Chrissy, has FINALLY made her way back stateside with her husband and two adorable children. They are currently living in Miami, but when she was up visiting her family at their beach house in Connecticut for a few weeks, we couldn’t turn down the offer of a weekend getaway! Maggie and Pia (Sophia, officially, who is just shy of 4) became fast friends and we haven’t stopped hearing about her every since! You’d think these two had known each other their whole lives and were instantly thick as thieves!
Paige’s Wedding
My BC roommate, Paige, was married in Provincetown near the end of summer and it gave Pat and I a blissful weekend away without Maggie (first full weekend since she was born!). While she was off being entertained by her many grandparents, we enjoyed a weekend of sun, sand, cocktails, and belly laughs with all the BC biddies and buddies. Can’t wait for the next wedding! (Looking at you, Janelle!!).
Jenni’s Wedding
The weekend following Paige’s wedding, Pat’s friend from college Jenni was married in Falmouth – being a more kid-friendly wedding, we brought Maggie with us to the Sea Crest Hotel (which I can NOT recommend more!) to enjoy some pool and beach time, plus experience her first wedding. Living up to her mother’s (and Nana’s!) reputation of being a permanent fixture on any wedding dance floor, Maggie was the FIRST one up – and had quite a time twirling and dancing with Pat. (to many “awws” from all his friends!). We are still hearing all about “Jenni the Princess” in her pretty white dress!
As the summer comes to a close, I’ve realized we really packed in a lot (and these were just the highlights!). The only silver lining to summer ending is it brings in my favorite season – fall!
